A little about Kaytie...
I am a wife to an amazing man, Adam, and mum to four gorgeous kiddos - Milly (the sweetest, most kind-hearted girl), Frankie (the cheekiest, happiest little boy), Bella and Rosie (our precious twins with the biggest smiles). In January 2021, our darling baby boy Beaumont was unexpectedly stillborn at full term. We are thankful for a God who is bigger than everything, who weeps with us, and has welcomed our son into His glorious presence.
My family and I reside in the Hunter NSW area and belong to a beautiful evangelical church community.
I love all things creative - particularly photography, dance, hand embroidery, sewing, and writing.
The story of More Than Wildflowers
Almost 7 years ago, God started planting the seeds for More Than Wildflowers in my heart and mind...
Firstly God had placed the name 'More Than Wildflowers' on my heart, long before the business was ever thought of. Luke 12:27-28 being the inspiration of course.
Then came the idea... A dear friend of mine first introduced me to Val Marie Paper when she mentioned she wanted the Pregnancy Prayer Journal for her first pregnancy. I took it upon myself to get a copy for her as a 'congratulations' gift... but it turned out to be a big challenge. At that time, VMP didn't ship internationally and so I searched for a small boutique in America who very kindly agreed to selling/shipping a copy to me.
Not long after that, I was trying to purchase products from She Reads Truth and the price of the shipping from the US to Aus was DOUBLE the price of the products themselves! I continued to find more brands which I hoped I could one day access and I knew of friends who also wished there was an easier/more affordable way. This was what sparked my passion for providing amazing Christian resources, which are currently expensive or unavailable, for Australians and New Zealanders.
We officially launched in February 2020.
Over the past 6yrs, my family has personally walked through deep valleys and seen God answer countless prayers. Through times where grief, chronic illness, or morning sickness made working and advertising near impossible... God continued to grow More Than Wildflowers and hold it steady despite my shortcomings. God is good!
I am incredibly grateful for the community God has formed through More Than Wildflowers and the opportunity to get these invaluable products into the hands of my sisters and brothers-in-Christ. My hope for More Than Wildflowers is that we will be a huge encouragement to every person who sees our social media, reads our emails, and places orders with our humble online store. A little about Adam...
Adam, very graciously, took on a huge role in the running of More Than Wildflowers in 2022, despite already having a full plate with working full time as a software developer and raising our family. He is the gift wrapping and shipping expert, our accountant, and so much more! More Than Wildflowers wouldn't run as smoothly, or be what it is today, without this amazing man!
